Our Team
Daniel Kluko
Daniel began his career in hydroponics as a pioneer of the vertical farming industry in New Buffalo, Michigan. Daniel headed up the Research & Development of Green Spirit Farms. With humble beginnings in a 1,200 square foot office space, Daniel’s diligence and ingenuity led to Green Spirit Farms moving into a 50,000 square foot facility within one year of beginning business operations. Daniel was one of the first commercial growers to utilize the induction lamp technology and test dozens of LED lighting systems which led to improvement in lighting design and indoor growing processes. He constructed and manned a demonstration farm in Hammersmith London in 2012 for a private event during the Olympic Games. Since then, he has consulted in the vertical farming space in dozens of states in the U.S. and six continents worldwide. He has worked alongside several universities and has developed curriculum for education on vertical farming practices. He has been featured in numerous publications, most notably The New York Times, Popular Mechanics, Forbes & the BBC.
